Sorgun is a village in Erdemli district of Mersin Province, Turkey. It is at . Distance to Erdemli is 48 kilometres (30 mi) and to Mersin is 84 kilometres (52 mi). The village is situated in the Toros Mountains and in summers it is used as a summer resort so called yayla. The population of Sorgun is 925 [1] as of 2010. Around Sorgun there are ruins dated back to Roman and Byzantine era and tombstones from Ottoman era. Main economic activities of the village are vegetable agriculture and beehiving. [2]
